Bengaluru-based Pace Digitek Limited, a telecom and energy infrastructure company, reported consolidated profit after tax of ₹97 crore for Q2 FY27 (July–September 2026), up 43.3% from ₹68 crore a year earlier. Revenue from operations rose 51.5% to ₹808 crore, the company said on 31 October 2026. Operational battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing capacity doubled to 5 GWh in the half year. Energy now accounts for ₹8,528 crore of the ₹10,735 crore executable order book.

For the first half of FY27, revenue rose 51.4% to ₹1,364 crore from ₹901 crore. EBITDA rose 40.5% to ₹245 crore and profit after tax rose 30.4% to ₹160 crore. Cash and bank balances stood at ₹515 crore, and the net debt-to-equity ratio was 0.35x.
BESS Manufacturing and Execution
Line 2, with 2.5 GWh of capacity, was commissioned in August 2026 and took operational capacity from 2.5 GWh to 5 GWh. Production in the half year reached 0.844 GWh, which the company puts at around 94% of output for the whole of FY26. Line 3, with a further 5 GWh, is under implementation, and commissioning is targeted for December 2026. That would take planned capacity to 10 GWh.
The company has also developed an in-house BESS container prototype. Trial production is scheduled for November 2026, with full-scale production from January 2027, and the unit is expected to meet about 50% of its container needs. In the commercial and industrial segment, 261 kWh BESS cabinets have been developed and customer trials completed. The investor presentation lists research towards cell manufacturing among its growth priorities. The company has not disclosed the cost of Line 3.
Orders and Commissioning
Pace Digitek commissioned 875 MWh of BESS capacity during the half year. Order inflows reached ₹2,437 crore, of which the energy business recorded ₹2,173 crore. Key wins were two 250 MW / 500 MWh engineering, procurement and construction contracts, from NLC India at ₹709.9 crore and DVC at ₹702 crore. Telecom and ICT (information and communication technology) orders of ₹265 crore came mainly from a ₹264.7 crore BharatNet optical fibre contract, now in the survey phase.
The executable order book at 30 September 2026 included ₹2,208 crore from the telecom business. The presentation puts the energy portion at 4.82 GWh of BESS capacity, spanning engineering contracts, build-own-operate projects and product supply.
Management Comment
Chairman and Managing Director Maddisetty Venugopal Rao said the half-year performance reflected the continued scale-up of the energy business alongside the established telecom operations. Maddisetty said the company had evolved from its telecom roots into an integrated energy and infrastructure business. Its focus now, Maddisetty said, is on raising execution standards, improving operational efficiency and strengthening integration.
Policy Backdrop
The company’s presentation links its order pipeline to several storage measures. It cites a Central Transmission Utility of India advisory of October 2026, which prescribes a 4-hour minimum storage duration for non-right-of-first-refusal applications and standalone BESS at renewable pooling stations. It also cites a ₹5,400 crore viability gap funding scheme of May 2026 that supports 30 GWh of standalone BESS capacity, with 25 GWh across 15 states and 5 GWh allocated to NTPC.
The presentation dates a 20% domestic content requirement for BESS projects under viability gap funding to December 2025. It also refers to a Central Electricity Authority draft of September 2026. That draft proposes 2-hour co-located storage equal to 10% of plant capacity for solar and wind projects commissioned after July 2027.
