Emerge Renewables has announced the successful furnace light-up and commissioning of its solar glass manufacturing facility in the Keshwana Industrial Area of Kotputli-Behror, Rajasthan. Identified as North India’s first dedicated solar glass plant, the 300 metric tons-per-day (TPD) facility is designed to strengthen domestic supply chains and reduce reliance on imported ancillary components. This commissioning occurs as the Indian government continues to prioritize domestic manufacturing of critical inputs to support a solar module capacity that has now surpassed 200 GW under the Approved List of Model and Manufacturers (ALMM).
