Technovision Engineers has commissioned a 150 kW rooftop solar photovoltaic system at its manufacturing facility in Pune, Maharashtra. Designed and installed by renewable energy firm WinSun Green, the installation is scheduled to commence full commercial operations in May 2026 to supply clean electricity for on-site industrial operations.

Section 1: Project Specifications and Installation Details

The 150 kW rooftop solar system (150,000 Watts) was installed on the primary manufacturing plant of Technovision Engineers in Pune, Maharashtra, by installation partner WinSun Green ahead of its May 2026 commissioning date. The installation incorporates 375 to 420 monocrystalline or polycrystalline photovoltaic panels rated between 350W and 400W, covering 10,000 to 11,000 square feet of shadow-free rooftop area. Power from the array is processed through string or central inverters to convert direct current (DC) into alternating current (AC) for plant machinery and operational loads. System components carry a 10-year product warranty and a 25-year performance warranty. Under local solar irradiance conditions, a 150 kW array in the region maintains a technical potential to generate 600 to 750 kWh per day; however, this project’s operational baseline is structured around a conservative target generation of 198,000 kWh annually (averaging approximately 542 kWh per day). Additionally, because the project exceeds 100 kW and is commissioned after April 1, 2026, it complies with Section 5.4 of the Maharashtra Renewable Energy & Energy Storage Policy 2025–26 to 2035–36, which mandates a minimum battery energy storage capacity of 50% of RE capacity for a 2-hour duration (75 kW / 150 kWh BESS) for grid-interactive rooftop installations.

Section 2: Energy Yield and Financial Impact

The 150 kW rooftop system is projected to deliver an annual generation yield of 198,000 kWh of clean electricity. By consuming this power directly on-site to offset grid purchases, Technovision Engineers is projected to reduce its facility energy costs by ₹1.98 million annually.
