The 150 MW solar capacity commissioned in Rajasthan is part of a 300 MW solar power installation. The project is managed through a multi-tiered corporate hierarchy:

  • Operating Entity: The project is executed by Project Sixteen Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd.
  • Operating Platform: Project Sixteen functions as a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power Private Limited (ARPPL).
  • Joint Venture Parent: ARPPL serves as the operating platform under ONGC NTPC Green Pvt. Ltd. (ONGPL), a joint venture incorporated to advance the green transition goals of its “Maharatna” parent companies.
  • Ownership Structure: ONGPL is a 50:50 partnership between ONGC Green Limited (OGL)—a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC)—and NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL).

Updated Installed Capacity Milestones

The successful part-commissioning of the 150 MW Rajasthan project has resulted in a revision of the group’s capacity figures. The commercial capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group rose from its previous level of 10,126.40 MW to a current total of 10,276.40 MW.

In the broader context of the parent organization, the total installed capacity of the overall NTPC Group now stands at approximately 89,528 MW. These figures reflect the cumulative milestones of the entities’ generation portfolios as of the April 18, 2026, commercial operation date.

Regulatory and Corporate Context

Its corporate mandate includes the exploration and establishment of Renewable Energy (RE) projects and assets through both greenfield development and the acquisition of existing platforms, such as the Ayana portfolio, to facilitate the energy transition of its sponsor organizations.
