Polyplex Corporation Limited, a global leader in PET film manufacturing, has entered into strategic agreements to source renewable energy for its Indian operations. The company will procure solar power through a combination of projects developed by CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions and Berkeley Energy.
The arrangement is structured under the Group Captive model, allowing Polyplex to significantly reduce its carbon footprint while hedging against rising industrial grid tariffs. The solar power will be channeled to Polyplex’s manufacturing facilities in North India. This move follows a broader trend of energy-intensive industrial players in India shifting toward 100% renewable procurement to meet both ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) goals and operational cost-efficiency.
