Project Commissioning Overview

ACME Eco Clean Energy Private Limited, a specialized subsidiary of ACME Solar Holdings Limited, has finalized the commissioning of a 16 MW wind power project located in the Surendranagar district of Gujarat. The company formally received the commissioning certificate from the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) on April 16, 2026. This certification serves as the administrative closure for the remaining capacity of a larger phased development, marking a significant milestone in the subsidiary’s regional operational footprint.

Geographic and Administrative Project Details

The project infrastructure is strategically distributed across several high-wind-potential sites within the Surendranagar district. The designated locations include:

  • Villages: Nana Morsal, Mota Kandhasan, Dhinkvali, Dhakaniya, and Titoda.
  • Talukas: Chotila and Sayla.
  • District: Surendranagar, Gujarat.

Technical Specifications and Regulatory Framework

The installation utilizes high-capacity 4 MW wind turbines supplied by SANY. The project was executed utilizing ACME Solar’s internal Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) expertise and was financed through the Power Finance Corporation (PFC).

The facility operates under a long-term off-take agreement, specifically a 25-year tariff-based Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL). Notably, the project timeline was influenced by regulatory adjustments; the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC) previously granted an extension for the Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD) to March 5, 2026, citing recognized Force Majeure events.

Phased Scaling and Project Context

The issuance of the GEDA certificate on April 16 represents the culmination of a multi-phase 100 MW wind project. The development progressed through several key stages, including the commissioning of a 28 MW phase in October 2025 and a subsequent 16 MW phase in November 2025.

Leading up to the final certification, ACME Solar issued a series of project updates on March 17, 19, and 26, 2026. The final physical increment of 4 MW was commissioned at Village Titoda on April 13, 2026. This physical completion was witnessed and verified by officials from GEDA and Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL), with the details formalized in the commissioning Minutes of the Meeting (MoM) prior to the issuance of the final 16 MW administrative certificate.

Technical Portfolio Overview

With the formal integration of this capacity, ACME Solar Holdings Limited reports the following operational and development metrics:

  • Total Operational Capacity: 2,934 MW.
  • Under-Construction Capacity: 4,456 MW.
  • Energy Storage Integration: 13.5 GWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) installations (accounted for within the under-construction portfolio).
