Bengaluru-based electric motorcycle maker Ultraviolette Automotive has introduced VX-100, its new 100-volt vehicle platform, and launched the X-47 Venom, the next generation of its X-47 Crossover and the first motorcycle built on the new architecture. Unveiled on 22 October 2026, the X-47 Venom is priced from ₹2.65 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) under an introductory offer for the first 5,000 customers. The company also plans to roll out four products on the VX-100 platform over the next 12 months, extending the architecture to scooters and other motorcycle segments.

Pricing, Variants and Availability

The X-47 Venom is offered in four variants across two battery sizes. The base X-47 and the X-47+ use a 7.5 kWh battery pack with a certified IDC range of 227 km and are priced from ₹2.65 lakh and ₹3.15 lakh respectively. The X-47 Recon and Recon+ get an 11 kWh battery pack, which raises the IDC range to 343 km, and are priced from ₹3.75 lakh and ₹3.99 lakh. The Recon variants add UV Hypersense radar technology, while the Plus variants come with an on-board charger in place of the standard charger.

According to Ultraviolette’s official website, these prices include an introductory benefit of up to ₹35,000 on the Bengaluru ex-showroom price, after which the starting price moves to ₹3 lakh. Bookings opened on 22 October through the company’s website and UV Space Stations, and customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in November 2026. The motorcycle will make its European debut at EICMA 2026 in Milan on 3 November.

VX-100: The New 100V Platform

VX-100 is a 100V electrical architecture that combines a new battery, motor and motor control unit. Ultraviolette states that the platform is certified for India and 20 countries in Europe, and has been developed and made in India for global markets. It is designed as a modular base that can support different battery capacities, vehicle configurations and power levels across the company’s future line-up.

At the core of the platform is the SRB-11 battery pack, which the company says offers higher energy density than its predecessor, dissipates heat up to 50% faster and supports twice the charging speed. The pack sits in a cast-aluminium housing with IP67 protection and incorporates six levels of safety covering thermal, electrical, mechanical, electronic, software and pyro-fuse protection. Ultraviolette is offering a battery warranty of up to 8 lakh km or eight years.

The platform also introduces the new UV LIGHTFURY electric motor and a next-generation motor control unit, which the company says is twice as compact while delivering three times the power density. All three subsystems are lighter than before.

Performance and Charging

The X-47 Venom produces a peak power of 30 kW (40 hp) and 550 Nm of torque at the wheel. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and has a top speed of 155 km/h, figures common to all four variants. At a kerb weight of 180 kg, the motorcycle is up to 20 kg lighter than the previous generation.

The model also brings 12 kW DC fast-charging capability, which Ultraviolette describes as a first for India’s electric two-wheeler segment. Its UV Supernova chargers, available in 6 kW and 12 kW ratings, can take the battery from 20% to 80% in under 60 minutes, while the UVLync Type-2 interface gives riders access to more than 4,000 AC car charging stations across India.

Safety and Technology Features

UV Hypersense uses a 77 GHz radar to provide rear collision warning, lane change assist, overtake alerts and blind-spot monitoring. Other features include cruise control, four-level traction control, switchable dual-channel ABS, 10-level regenerative braking and park assist with a rear-camera feed. The motorcycle also gets a 7-inch Qualcomm-powered touchscreen with on-board navigation, an integrated front-and-rear dashcam, and app-based movement alerts and remote lockdown through Violette A.I.

Commenting on the launch, co-founder and CEO Narayan Subramaniam said that design, engineering and technology have always evolved together at Ultraviolette, and that VX-100 establishes the technology foundation for a new generation of products across segments and markets. Co-founder and CTO Niraj Rajmohan said the X-47 Venom reflects the company’s approach of engineering the entire motorcycle as one integrated system.

Four More VX-100 Products Planned

Ultraviolette plans to introduce four products based on the VX-100 platform over the next 12 months as it expands beyond premium electric motorcycles into scooters and more accessible segments. The upcoming portfolio includes the Tesseract electric scooter, the Shockwave motorcycle and a new F77 model. The Tesseract, which the company describes as India’s first scooter with a 100V architecture, is open for pre-booking from ₹1.45 lakh, with final variants and specifications to be revealed in Q1 2027 and deliveries to follow shortly after. The Shockwave is listed for pre-booking from ₹1.75 lakh.

The product expansion will be backed by a larger retail network. Ultraviolette currently operates 55 showrooms and plans to increase this to 100 by the first quarter of next year, covering major cities as well as tier-2 towns.

Outlook

By moving the X-47 onto a common high-voltage platform, Ultraviolette is laying the base for a broader range of electric two-wheelers that share the same battery, motor and electronics. The start of X-47 Venom deliveries in November, its EICMA debut and the arrival of the Tesseract and Shockwave in early 2027 will be the next milestones in that rollout.
