Premier Energies Limited reported consolidated revenue of ₹26,560 million (about ₹2,656 crore) for the quarter ended 30 September 2026 (Q2 FY27), up 38.2% from a year earlier and 5.9% from the previous quarter. Profit after tax was ₹4,624 million (about ₹462 crore), up 30.8% year on year and 2.0% lower quarter on quarter. The company shared the numbers in an investor presentation filed with BSE and NSE on 4 November 2026.

Key financial numbers

All figures in the presentation’s highlights are on a consolidated basis. EBITDA was ₹7,600 million, up 17.8% year on year and 0.1% quarter on quarter, with an EBITDA margin of 28.6%. The PAT margin was 17.4%. The company reports a total debt-to-equity ratio of 0.72 and a credit rating of A+/A1 with a positive outlook from CRISIL.

Production, capacity and order book

During the quarter Premier Energies produced 1,199 MW of solar modules and 916 MW of solar cells. The presentation lists its manufacturing capacity at 10.6 GW for cells and 11.1 GW for modules, with a 10 GW ingot-wafer facility under construction. Other listed capacities are BESS containers of 12 GWh and transformers of 10.75 GVA, which is to rise to 16.75 GVA.

The order book stood at 10,729 MW, worth ₹165.9 billion, as on 30 September 2026. It moved from ₹150.0 billion at 30 June 2026 after ₹26.3 billion of sales were executed and ₹42.2 billion of new orders were added. By value, cells and modules account for 48% each, EPC for 1% and transformers for 2%. Domestic orders make up 99% of the book and exports 1%.

Expansion projects

The company says commercial production at its 7 GW cell plant is to commence shortly. The plant will make N-type TOPCon G12R solar cells with an average target efficiency of 25.8% and a production capacity of 88,000 cells per hour. The presentation describes AI-enabled predictive analysis, precision process control and automated material handling to improve efficiency, and a Zero Liquid Discharge system for water recycling.

For the 10 GW ingot-wafer plant, site development and civil construction are in progress. RCT has been signed as the technology and equity partner, and the target commissioning date is July 2027. The presentation also reports that land acquisition is complete for the first phase of a 6 GWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project, with site development and design work underway and machinery orders for the first phase placed.

Transformer business

Premier Energies’ transformer arm, Transcon, which includes Neotrafo, bagged its first extra-high-voltage (EHV) order during the quarter and received approved vendor status with an international major. Its total order book is ₹3.4 billion including Neotrafo, of which 30% of Neotrafo’s orders come from exports. About 60% of the transformer order book has pass-through of material costs. Neotrafo has commissioned 4 GVA of capacity, and the remaining 6 GVA is expected to reach commercial operation by December 2026.

Industry backdrop in the presentation

The presentation says the company sees demand supported by policy and by India’s energy-security priorities. It cites a quote from the Secretary of the Ministry of Power that after Hormuz, India needs to move away from oil and gas wherever possible, and a statement by the Chairperson of the Central Electricity Authority that electricity is only 22% of India’s total energy consumption and must rise to 45-50% by 2047. On storage, it lists a proposal for 4-hour co-located BESS for 10% of capacity for solar and wind projects commissioned after July 2029, and a ₹181 billion production-linked incentive outlay for 50 GWh of domestic battery cell manufacturing.

What it means for India’s clean-energy sector

Premier Energies describes itself as the country’s largest cell-module integrated manufacturer, and its numbers show how fast domestic manufacturing is scaling. The order book is almost entirely domestic, and the company is extending into upstream ingot-wafer production, battery storage and transformers. The schedule of the 7 GW cell plant and the 10 GW ingot-wafer plant will be the next milestones to watch. This article reports only the consolidated figures.
