Vayona Energy has secured a firm order from Continuum Green Energy to supply wind turbines totalling 108 MW for projects in Gujarat and Rajasthan. The order, announced on 2 November 2026, covers the Kalavad and Devikot projects and includes turbine supply, field technical support, commissioning and 20-year operations and maintenance (O&M) agreements.

What the order covers

For the Kalavad project, Vayona will supply 10 turbines of the SG 3.6-145 model. For the Devikot project, the order covers 20 turbines drawn from the SG 3.4-145 and SG 3.6-145 platforms. Vayona’s scope at both sites is turbine supply, technical field support, commissioning and 20-year O&M agreements.

At Devikot, Vayona will also provide access to shared power evacuation infrastructure, including the project substation and an extra-high-voltage transmission line.

The announcement does not say which of the two projects is in Gujarat and which is in Rajasthan, and it does not disclose the contract value, delivery dates or any quotes from either company. Those details are therefore not reported here.

About Vayona Energy

Vayona Energy was formed when a consortium led by TPG, through its TPG Rise Climate platform, and MAVCO Investments, a private company of the Murugappa family, completed the acquisition of Siemens Gamesa’s onshore wind business in India and Sri Lanka. TPG’s press release of 2 December 2025 announced the new independent company, with Vellayan Subbiah as Chairman and Prashant Jain, a former chief executive of JSW Energy, as Executive Vice Chairman.

At its launch, Vayona described itself as a leading wind turbine original equipment manufacturer in India and South Asia, with a workforce of about 1,000 professionals and a portfolio of more than 12 GW in operational and development assets. It said it was launching with a customer order book of more than 1 GW and an O&M portfolio of more than 8 GW. Siemens Energy remains involved through continued technology collaboration and as a strategic shareholder.

What it means for India’s clean-energy sector

The order is a further sign that the newly independent Vayona is winning business from established renewable developers, on the SG 3.4-145 and SG 3.6-145 platforms named in the order. The inclusion of 20-year O&M agreements points to a long relationship between the turbine maker and the projects, rather than a one-off equipment sale. For India’s wind sector, the order adds 108 MW to the pipeline of capacity being built in Gujarat and Rajasthan, two of the main wind states, though the announcement does not give commissioning timelines.
